             CATCH REPORTS TO 27th FEBRUARY.
A much better week on the day ticket lake, with the generally higher temperatures. Nick Freeman landed a 20.14 common, Andy Buchanon took a brace of sturgeon at 40.04 & 45.00, plus a common of 13.04, and Dave Creekey had a common of 12.06. Despite cold easterley winds, James Hopkin landed a common of 20.05 and mirror of 21.02 in quick sucession.

The syndicate water also fished better, with Rod Keen taking a common of 36.07, a known fish at its best ever weight. Nigel Edgecombe had a common of 24.00, Vic Cranfield took another common of 21.06 and Ian Grant landed one of the two big ghosties at 29.08, another best ever weight.New member Dave Greekey, (not to be confused with Dave Creekey, above), opened his account with a mirrors of 24.00 & 34.08. Alan Morris took commons of 27.14 & 29.12, and Malcolm Best had a good session with commons of 27.12 & 28.08, plus a home grown mirror of 14.08.

It does appear that the hard work put into the lakes, and other maneagement steps over the last nine months, is paying dividends already, with a number of known fish coming out at their best ever weight, despite the very early harsh weather of this winter.

Stuart Johnson has continued his success on the top stock pond, (now named Amiee's Pool), with a short session for a mixed bag of 23lbs. Bait was red maggot. The lower stock pond has now been named Daniel's Pool.

The senior bailiff & coach, Paul Power is currently working closely with Richard of New Barn Farm at Paignton, with the aim of forming a match fishing club, and creating an inter-venue match fishing facility for the regions match anglers. Please ask Paul for details.

CATCH REPORT TO 20th FEBRUARY.
The syndicate lake again fished well for Martin King. He landed a lovely 24lb common, lost another carp, but went on to net a 31.04 mirror, just as another alarm went off, and a second 31.08  graced his net. These are believed to be new 30's, and obviously both have plenty of room for growth. Malcolm Best landed a very nice 28lb common.

A bit scratchy on the day ticket lake this week. A fair number of fish landed, but rather small sizes. Among the reports were Simon James with 3 carp to doubles, Paul Jakes, also 3 carp to mid doubles, plus a 41.04 sturgeon. Pete Headon had a 13.08 common and Dave Land took a 16.08 common. A little disappointing as the lake contains carp to mid 30's, sturgeon to over 50lbs, tench to almost 12lbs, and a chance, when the water warms, of cats to over 70lb.
Stuart Johnson did a short spell on the top stock pond for 32lb of quality roach. The fishing platforms have now been completed on both stock ponds. Dave will be closing the list of applications for the syndicate lake shortly. Please email: emperorlakes@btconnect.com

CATCH REPORTS TO 13th FEBRUARY.

The syndicate lake is fishing better now, with two more 37lb+ carp landed, both different fish to the recent 37. John Harding landed a new PB mirror of 37.01 and Martin King took a very pretty mirror of 37.08, followed by a home grown common of 18lbs. All three 37 pounders bode well for more new forties by the end of the year.

which should comfortably make 40lbs this year

The day ticket water has produced a few carp including a 27lb+ new PB mirror to Jamie Parr. Andy Buchanan took a common of 16.10 and Brian Pegg & Tony from Plymouth took more commons in the teens.

Already a big response for membership of the syndicate lake, but membership is decided on merit, not in order of asking. Therefore, Dave will continue to take further applications for a limited time, on email at: emperorlakes@btconnect .com

The new fishing platforms on the top stock pond are all completed, very spacious & well laid out. It is producing good bags of roach & carp to day anglers, and lively sport is expected as the weather warms up. Fishing platforms on the lower stock pond are under construction, and should be completed soon.

CATCH REPORT TO 7th FEBRUARY 2011.

Still very few anglers fishing, but the syndicate lake has produced some good fish. Just 20 minutes after his arrival at the lake, Steve Ellison landed a 29lb mirror, and Alan Morris, after braving the cold, wet weather for a few days, lost a good carp right at the net, estimated as being a new PB.

However, the best result was Dave Pierce, who cast to a showing fish, and after a good scrap, landed the carp known as Moth, at it's best ever weight of 44.01, and in lovely condition. Although by no means the biggest carp in the lake, it's good to see yet another of the larger fish on the bank, this early in the season.

Dave is aware of a number of members not re-joining the syndicate in March, and anyone interested in membership, is invited to contact Dave by email on; emperorlakes@btconnect.com

Day tickets are now available for the bottom lake & both stock ponds. The bottom lake has now produced another new 30 on 7th February, with the capture of a 33.02 mirror, by Warren Lewis from Buckfastleigh. The fish came from peg 2, at 15.15 hours after a 20 minute scrap, and was followed 6 hours later with a sturgeon of 41lbs, which took best part of an hour to subdue. Both fish came on boilies, and Warren was aided by Rob Shann.
