CATCHES REPORT TO 17th JUNE.

12 year old Jamie McMahon with his 29.10 ghostie.
The Nash Roadshow and open days, were a great success, and despite heavy rain & gales ruining a large part of the first day, several hundred attended. Given the weather, attendance was greater than expected, with a number of youngsters taking part in basic angling tuition on the coarse pools. Twelve year old Jamie McMahon fished both days, Saturday on Dans Pool, where he beat his PB with a ghost carp of 21.10, and Sunday on Amiees Pool, where he landed a 29.10 ghostie, again setting a new PB. Almost unbelievably, he took this fish on a size 22 hook & 2lb bottom, and went on to land a 2lb roach on a pole. He put a great deal of work, thought & effort into his fishing, and had a superb weekend. The coaches described him as a very well mannered lad, with good fish care & handling qualities. We are delighted with the number of youngsters taking an interest in the coaching service, and will certainly be developing it further.
