CATCH REPORT TO 26th FEBRUARY

Again, little to report, but the season ticket lake has produced a couple of good fish. Andy Sweatland, a new member on his first visit, took a PB common of 37.08 and Steve Ellison landed a 32lb mirror. The day ticket water is filling and about to re-open.

Amiees Pool is becoming very popular, and Mark & Richard Wood spent a few hours for a bag of 40lbs, including some quality roach.

The report on the netting has to be put back to next week, as we've been waiting for the pics to come back from the photographer. For the record, the only fish removed from the lake were catfish to 25lbs, tench, jack pike and small carp. This will allow the ever increasing number of large carp, including numerous fish of 30-40lbs+ to grow on even faster. Full details and photos will be on the next report.

Please note that the syndicate waiting list is now closed for the time being. It's not fair taking more names when there is little likelyhood of places becoming available in the near future. Contrary to some stories currently going around, there will be NO INCREASE in syndicate fees this year. Those due to renew in April, must contact Dave asap, if they wish to be re-invited. Subs will then be due in cleared funds by 20th March latest. Places will not be held after this date.

CATCH REPORT TO 19th FEBRUARY.

Very little to report this week, with the weather putting off most anglers, and the day ticket water closed for the whole period, whilst draining down was carried out, prior to the netting and thinning out of some stock.

Just two or three anglers on the season ticket water, where Carolyn Rogers took a mirror of 25.08 and Dave Pierce landed a mirror of 26lbs.

The netting on the day ticket lake was carried out today, (Monday). Despite some common difficulties, such as snags and heavy pockets of silt, there were good hauls, and some big fish. A full report, complete with photos, will be in the next catch report.

CATCH REPORT TO 12th FEBRUARY.

Predictably, with constant ice and bitter cold weather, only three or four anglers visited the water over the past week.

However, very surprisingly, the ones who did fish managed to land odd fish. On the season ticket lake, Brian Male landed a mirror of 33.08, and Steve Ellison took a common of 22.08, and the day ticket lake produced a mirror of 24.02 to a Martin ?

Not a workparty, but Dave would be very grateful to anyone who could help him with finishing off the staking down of the otter fence, either Saturday or Sunday. Please bring a hammer or mallet. Thank you.

CATCH REPORT TO 5TH FEBRUARY.

Very short report this week, with just one capture reported, prior to the freeze up. This was a 32lb mirror to Dwayne Green, from the season ticket lake.
