CATCH REPORT TO 13th MAY.

A better week, with a good number of fish from all waters. The season ticket lake produced at least four carp over 30lbs, with James Hubble taking a new PB mirror of 37.08, caught on Pallatrax Jungle, his first time on the bait. Long standing member Steve Ellison also landed a mirror of 37.08, caught on Emperor Lake Specials, from Cornwall Baits. Close behind was John Andrews with a mirror of 35.07 and a fully scaled mirror of 26lbs, whilst Brian Male did a hat trick with three commons of 31.04, 28lbs and 19.04. Other reports include Vic Cranfield with a common of 25.08.

 John Andrews with 35.07 mirror.
Lively action on the day ticket lake saw Phil Jakes on a two day session, taking 7 carp from 15lbs up to a mirror of 34.06. Other reports include commons of 25.11 to Rodney Abbot, 19.13 to Mickey Palmer and a 19.06 to Dave Wood. Tim Mountjoy, a sponsored angler and employee of Pallatrax, spent a short time on the lake for the first time, and despite extremely unfavourable conditions, soon put an 18.08 mirror on the bank. The very experienced angler later tried a little floater fishing, with Pallatrax hooks and chum mixer, over sprayed with Pallatrax Jungle Drench. He was well rewarded with a common of 29.02, probably the biggest carp off the surface on the day ticket lake.
Tim Mountjoy with his surface caught 29.02 common.

The coarse pools are continuing to produce big bags. Anglers Mail was on site recently, doing a feature on the fishery. Stuart Johnson happened to be fishing Amiees Pool, ending up with a 75lb bag. The feature is in the Anglers Mail this week, dated 15th May.

A further reminder of the Nash Roadshow on the site, 16th & 17th June. All are welcome, and there will be lots going on, and visitors can have a look round the lakes.
Tony Lock with his 33lb mirror from last week.
Nigel Rogers with a recent capture. Not a big fish, but very pretty.
As regulars will know, Dave has just returned from a very rare break, on a working holiday, with a little fishing on a French Lake, owned by a friend. It's not a commercial water, but the owner does occasionally let it to small groups by recommendation. Ask Dave for details, if you fancy a trip. Some of Dave's catches are below. Top to bottom, 53.10, 42.08 and 50.12.
